Hi I am Terry, was given a radio many years ago that used to pick up almost anything, I then heard the late great Tony Hancock in the Radio Ham and I thought hold on there is a hobby out there really then, I thought about taking the exam then but I thought I cannot handle the Morse Code part of it so I didn't bother, then I saw amateurs at a local Town Show in a marquee all sitting talking on their rigs with their backs to us, then as one call finished they went straight on to another one without explaining to the public what they were in fact doing there. Then one day I looked at Essex Ham's website (  http://www.essexham.co.uk/  ) and I haven't looked back since, in just a few months I now have my foundation licence, next up intermediate.
